For those who are able and would like to give, the suggested offering is £80 with a £25 per head deposit. Arrivals are 4—6pm on Tuesday and departures from 2pm on Thursday. Flier (pdf)
21st September, Home Mission Sunday. Two thousand years since the birth of Jesus it’s a fact that there are many people on our own doorsteps who have yet to hear the Good News of God’s unconditional love and mercy. Today is a day of prayer for the spread of the Gospel in England and Wales. Let’s pray that we’re all renewed in our calling to seek out, and use the opportunities which present themselves, to respectfully share and celebrate our faith. Help and resources to enable us in our evangelisation are provided by the Catholic Agency to Support Evangelisation (CASE), which is an agency of the Bishops’ Conference, and these include a new CaFE produced DVD. To that end, there will be a second collection for the work of CASE today; whilst this collection is optional the agency is part-funded by it and relies on diocesan support. For free resources please see: www.caseresources.org.uk. CASE also runs the Catholic Enquiry Office, offering free and confidential information about the Catholic faith to enquirers: www.life4seekers.co.uk and for non-practising / resting Catholics: www.comehomeforchristmas.co.uk. Its brand new evangelistic site for 10 – 13 year olds can be found at: www.yfaith.co.uk Don't miss the double-page spread about Home Mission Sunday in The Universe newspaper! Also see the Catholic Herald, The Tablet and the Catholic Times.
